Ashfield Farmers Market, Ashfield, Massachusetts
Welcome to the Ashfield Farmers Market! We are located on the Town Common on Main Street in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
We are open every Saturday from Memorial Day Weekend until the end of October, from 8:30 am to 12:30pm.
Ashfield may be a small town, but we know how to put on a farmers market! We are proud of the fact that visitors to the market can do all their grocery shopping for the week in one stop - vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, bread, granola, yogurt, eggs, and specialty items all produced on farms within a few miles of Ashfield Center. The Ashfield Farmers Market is also the gathering place for the community.
For more information, contact our Market Manager, Amy Klippenstein, at (413) 625-0011.
It is a very social market - the common offers plenty of safe space for children to play, so families will often spend an hour or two at the market, visiting with neighbors, sitting under the trees with a cup of coffee and pastry or a plate of Taiwanese dumplings, slowly making the rounds of the vendors to buy groceries for the week, while the kids run around inventing games. Occasionally, a pair of donkeys or team of oxen will show up to graze on the common during the market, much to the delight of the younger set. This year we received a grant from the Ashfield Cultural Council to fund Ashfield musicians at the market, and will feature a local musician or group every other week for the duration of the market season.
